Oklahoma School Librarians - WE NEED YOU!
We want to hear your 'School Library Story' as part of the Oklahoma School Library Virtual Tour. The Pep Rally held on Friday, Nov. 4th was the kick-off of the tour. If you attended the pep rally and did not get to sign the guest book, that link is below.  At the actual rally, 34 school libraries were added to the map of Oklahoma School Libraries -- but we want more.  Visit the map and get your program posted.  Need help? Just ask, we are here for you.

Let your story be shared with others. Collectively these library stories will make a powerful statement about the positive impact school libraries and librarians have on student achievement.  The guidelines for the tour are pasted below as well as the links for the Google Map

Guidelines for the Oklahoma School Library Virtual Tour Participation

School Libraries ARE the Difference and the 2011-2012 School Year is the Year of the School Library in Oklahoma "YoSol 11/12"!

PURPOSE:  The purpose of this Virtual Tour is to showcase Oklahoma school libraries and school library programs and the positive impact school librarians have on student achievement.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
·         Let ‘your school library’ story be told by sharing activities on the Oklahoma School Library Virtual Tour. Ideas that you might consider sharing are instructional lessons, integration of technology, activities, events, or happenings in your library. Consider the school library and the greater learning community. Look at connection to the community, advocacy activities, outreach, and other public relation activities that are going on in your library. It is time to tell your story!
