Social Networking + Policies & Procedures = Success!!
Have you been reluctant to use Social Networking to communicate with your library patrons because you have no idea what liability issues could arise? Could you use Social Networking or use it more effectively if you had policies and procedures in place to limit that liability? If so, this is the workshop for you! In the morning session, Courtney Warmington, attorney at Crowe & Dunlevy, will detail liability issues you need to consider. The afternoon session will consist of a presentation by a panel of Oklahoma librarians currently using Social Networking in their libraries. They will share their policies and procedures, discuss any roadblocks they encountered, and help participants create successful policies and procedures of their own.
Presented by Oklahoma Library Association’s Communication’s Committee
